Lecture time: 3 minutes

TM Real Estate Group has been honoured with the Business Achievement Award at the 7th Economic Night, organised by the Orihuela Chamber of Commerce. The award recognises six decades of entrepreneurial commitment, sustainable growth, and contribution to the economic development of the Vega Baja region.

The gala, held in the historic cloister of the former Santo Domingo Diocesan College University, brought together more than 500 representatives from the region’s business, institutional and social sectors. The event also coincided with the 125th anniversary of the Chamber of Commerce.

The award was received by Pablo Serna, CEO of TM Real Estate Group, on behalf of all those who have been part of the company’s history. In his speech, he expressed his gratitude for the recognition and highlighted the special significance of receiving it in Orihuela, the city where the company was founded in 1969 as a family business project led by José Luis Serna.

“We dedicate this award to everyone who is, and has been, part of TM, to our customers, partners and suppliers, and, of course, to our family, whose commitment is making it possible for this project to continue from one generation to the next.”

Pablo Serna also emphasised that this recognition serves as an incentive to continue moving

forward, creating employment, generating value for all stakeholders, and contributing to the economic and social development of the region.

A recognition of more than five decades of achievement

The Orihuela Chamber of Commerce highlighted the evolution of TM Real Estate Group from its origins as a family-owned business to becoming a leading international company in the residential tourism sector, with more than 25,000 homes delivered and a strong presence across the Mediterranean. The Chamber also recognised the role played by the second generation of the Serna family in the company’s internationalisation and diversification process.

This award recognises not only TM’s business growth, but also a way of understanding business that is founded on long-term vision, strong local roots, innovation, and the creation of shared value.

A night of recognition and advocacy for the Vega Baja region

The 7th Economic Night was also marked by a number of calls to action aimed at strengthening the competitiveness and development of the region. During the event, the Orihuela Chamber of Commerce highlighted the need to move forward with key infrastructure projects, including the dualling of the N-332 as it passes through Torrevieja, the removal of toll charges on the AP-7 in Orihuela Costa and Los Montesinos, and improved road connectivity through the duplication of the CV-95 and CV-91 roads.

The Chamber also called for enhanced healthcare and educational facilities, measures to promote skills development and talent retention, and a stronger voice for the Vega Baja region in dealings with public administrations through the establishment of a regional office in Valencia.

These demands reflect some of the key challenges facing a territory that has established itself as one of the main economic drivers of the Valencian Community.

The 7th Economic Night also served to recognise business excellence, innovation, internationalisation and contributions to the economic development of the Vega Baja region through a range of awards, including those presented to Central Hisúmer (Internationalisation), Genetic PCR Solutions (Technological Innovation), Caliente 1986 (Retail), Las Ramblas Golf (Sustainable Tourism Development), and Domingo Alcocer, founder of Grupo Doalco, who received the Juan Cerdán Honorary Award.
