Benitatxell Cliffs Hiking Trail<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

This is an easy hiking trail covering around 5 kilometres. Leave your car at Cala de Moraig. To access the car park, you need to book in advance. It has limited capacity. Once parked, you can start the hike. This easy trail will take you up to Cala Llebeig, one of few remaining virgin beaches in the province.<\/p>\n

Don’t forget your suncream, comfy footwear and water.<\/p>\n

Faro de l’Albir Hiking Trail<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This hiking trail is great for the whole family. A pleasant walk, suitable for children and wheelchair accessible. From the information point in l’Albir there is a tarmac road from which the trail starts. There’s no risk of getting lost. Follow the trail, and you’ll come to a small tunnel. There you’ll find viewpoints from which you can enjoy the surroundings. The trail ends at Bombarda point, where the ruins of the Bombarda Tower and the beautiful Albir lighthouse are located. From here you can enjoy spectacular views of the Altea Bay and the Gelada and B\u00e8rnia mountain ranges.<\/p>\n

Circular Trail Through the B\u00e8rnia Mountain Range<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The circular trail through the B\u00e8rnia mountain range is without a doubt one of the most special hiking trails in the province of Alicante. Also known as the forat de B\u00e8rnia trail, here you can enjoy unforgettable views.<\/p>\n

The hiking trail starts in Casas de B\u00e8rnia, a small hamlet in Xal\u00f3. From there, along the north face of the mountain range you will reach the Forat, a natural tunnel that crosses the mountain leading to the south face.<\/p>\n

Walking along the southern face of the mountain, you will come to Fort de B\u00e8rnia, a military construction dating back to the 16th century. From the fortress, you can cross the Coll de Xal\u00f3 to return to the starting point and finish the hiking trail.<\/p>\n

8.5 kilometres of spectacular views and medium difficulty. Don’t forget to wear comfy footwear and bring water for the hike.<\/p>\n

Barranc de l\u2019Infern Hiking Trail<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In Vall de Laguar, in the north of the province of Alicante, lies the Barranc de l’Infern, a spectacular canyon formed by the Girona river.<\/p>\n

The Barranc de l’Infern hiking trail is a circular trail known as the “La Catedral del Senderismo” [“The Hiking Cathedral”] or “La ruta de los 6800 escalones de piedra” [“The Route of the 6800 Stone Steps”]. It is the most difficult of all the hiking trails due to its physical effort, although it is technically easy.<\/p>\n

The hiking trail starts in Fleix. From there, always following the PR-CV 147 trail signs, you will cross this impressive canyon following a winding zig-zag path with continuous ascents and descents.<\/p>\n

After the last descent and a demanding final ascent you will reach Benimaurell, the village at the top. Once there, you will only have a slight descent back to Fleix, where this fantastic hiking trail comes to an end.<\/p>\n
