Walk up the Pe\u00f1\u00f3n de Ifach, Calpe <\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

The Pe\u00f1\u00f3n de Ifach<\/strong>, a large rock located in Calpe<\/strong>, is one of the Costa Blanca<\/strong>\u2019s iconic landmarks. Rising 332 metres above sea level, the views across the Mediterranean are absolutely stunning and a visit is not to be missed if you are one of the people who are lucky enough to have a property in Sunset Drive<\/a><\/strong> or SIDI by TM<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0 Part of the route to the top is easy but the rest is more complicated. The first stretch that takes you to the tunnel that has been excavated through the rock is fairly simple; however, once you pass this point, the path to the top becomes more tricky.<\/p>\n

The total distance is 4.6 km, along which you\u2019ll see a 13th-century archaeological site<\/strong>, a Visitors\u2019 Centre offering information about the flora and fauna found in the Nature Reserve<\/strong>, and several viewpoints<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Important! Appropriate footwear must be worn: all flip flops and rubber clogs should be left at home!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Discover the salt mountains of Torrevieja, Costa Blanca Sur <\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Open to the general public since 2018, the Salinas de Torrevieja<\/strong> (salt lakes) are one of those places you\u2019ve probably never thought about as being interesting to visit, but once you discover them they will stay etched in your memory forever.<\/p>\n

They are the largest in Europe and you can get to them by taking the tourist train from the Paseo de la Libertad in Torrevieja that goes there and back. On arrival at the lakes, you see the huge mountains of salt that can at times reach a height equal to a seven-storey building.<\/p>\n

On the guided tour you\u2019ll learn about the harvesting and mining history of the lakes, that dates back thousands of years. You\u2019ll also see stunning colours, like the pink water, a picturesque landscape that just has to be snapped for posterity, and also the fauna that inhabits them, including the famous flamingos.<\/p>\n

This is without question the perfect trip out with the family if your TM property<\/strong> is on the Costa Blanca Sur<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Beach route along the Costa de Almer\u00eda <\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

The mention of Almer\u00eda<\/strong> conjures up images of deserts and coastlines. So why not do a tour of its best beaches? Take advantage of a weekend in your property in Mar de Pulp\u00ed<\/strong> and discover these hidden gems that are truly jaw-dropping.<\/p>\n

We start the route at the Playa de los Muertos<\/strong> (Beach of the Dead) in Carboneras<\/strong>, which owes its name to the bodies of shipwrecked sailors who washed up on its shore, swept in by the currents that form there. Its crystal-clear waters, the vast bay and relatively low numbers of visitors make this beach a veritable paradise.<\/p>\n

We continue the route to the Playa del Monsul<\/strong>, one of the best known beaches in the Cabo de Gata Nature Reserve<\/strong>, an awe-inspiring landscape that offers impressive sights and marvels.<\/p>\n

Also within the Cabo de Gata Nature Reserve<\/strong> is the Playa de los Genoveses<\/strong>, an expansive, sweeping beach that is reached through a wood with dunes and rocks.<\/p>\n

Another beach that mustn\u2019t be missed out is that of El Playazo<\/strong>, with fine sand and few visitors, where the pristine waters are ideal for trying your hand at snorkelling and exploring the seabed.<\/p>\n

Finally, the Playa del Plomo<\/strong> is an unspoilt cove of black and white rock. Its location, also in the Cabo de Gata Nature Reserve<\/strong>, is ideal for hiking trips to other nearby coves such as the Cala de Enmedio<\/strong>. Something well worth checking out are the 15-metre deep holes and its marine flora and fauna.<\/p>\n

Cueva de Nerja (Costa del Sol) <\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

The Cueva de Nerja<\/strong> is one of those places that leaves you speechless. Inside the cave, discovered in 1959, some paintings have been dated that may be the first known work of art in the history of mankind. Inside this Cultural Heritage Site<\/strong> hangs the largest stalactite in the world.<\/p>\n

You can take a guided tour or explore it on your own, and there is also a night-time experience where you walk along the tourist gallery and discover everything there is to know about this remarkable place.<\/p>\n

You can\u2019t afford to miss out on this trip during your summer on the Costa del Sol<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Visit Valldemossa (Mallorca) <\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

If you are lucky enough to have a TM property in Mallorca<\/strong>, it means you get to enjoy breathtaking locations: inland Mallorca<\/strong> is somewhere that transports you back in time. A good example of this is Valldemossa, a village located around 20 minutes by car from Palma de Mallorca<\/strong> that sits nestled between mountains. Its pedestrian cobbled streets and cultural heritage make it an obligatory stop.<\/p>\n

Amongst its main attractions are the Royal Carthusian Monastery<\/strong>, with a church and an old apothecary shop. Also in the monastery is the Chopin Museum. The composer lived here for one winter and on some of his personal memorabilia is on display.<\/p>\n

Leaving the village in the direction of Port de Valldemossa<\/strong> you arrive at a pretty, tranquil beach.<\/p>\n
